Rugby Pulse is built for grassroots rugby — including young players — so we take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.
1. What we collect
- Name — to identify you on your profile and team roster.
- Email address — for sign-in, password resets and important notifications.
- Age group — to show age-appropriate features and positions.
- Profile photo — optional, to personalise your profile.
- Parent-child account links — to let parents manage younger players.
- Rugby statistics — match and training data you or your coaches log.
- Team information — the team(s) you are part of and your role.
- Club information — the club you support or belong to.
- Notification preferences — to send you only the messages you want.
2. How we use your data
- To run the core features of the app (profiles, teams, matches, training).
- To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
- To send notifications you have opted into.
- To improve the app — usage is reviewed in aggregate, not for advertising.
3. Who can see your data
Most personal data is only visible to you, your team coaches and team admins, and (where relevant) a linked parent account. Club and team names may be displayed publicly in club listings. Reviews you leave on a club are visible to other users.
4. Children's privacy
Players under 16 should use Rugby Pulse with a parent or guardian's knowledge. Parents can create a linked account to manage their child's profile, notifications and visibility.
5. Data storage
Rugby Pulse uses secure cloud infrastructure with row-level security to ensure data is only readable by users with permission. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
6. Your rights
- Access — view your data from the Profile screen.
- Correction — edit your profile and team details at any time.
- Deletion — delete your account from Account Settings → Delete account. This removes your personal data and detaches your stats from your name.
- Notifications — turn notifications on or off in Account Settings.
7. Reports & moderation
When you submit a report, the reported content and basic information about the reporter is stored so Rugby Pulse moderators can investigate. Reports are kept confidential.
